"I joined npower in April 2006 as a Customer Service Adviser and have already gained some great experience, spending time in different departments to develop my skills. I love the variety of the work and the customer contact, not to mention the great environment and atmosphere. I feel part of one big family. I won the sales incentive which has been the highlight of my career. And not just because of the BMW Mini I was given!"
"I heard through a friend that npower Contact Centres were great to work for, and as I had previous call centre experience I applied for a role as a Customer Service Adviser. My favourite bit about the job is helping customers become more energy efficient. I'd like to apply for the next Managerial Aspiration Programme, which would help me towards my goal of becoming a Team Manager."
"I was attracted to npower after hearing about the great development opportunities. I have my own Personal Development Plan, and I get regular coaching from my Manager to help me improve my performance and skills. A while ago I enrolled onto a coaching course at the onsite Learning Resource Centre where I developed my management skills, and was recently made a temporary Team Manager for a team of 12 Customer Service Advisers. But the thing I enjoy most about my job is the variety of interesting calls and customers I deal with. Our Peterlee site opened the first Learning Resource Centre in May 2005 – to date over 600 learners have enrolled completing over 1300 courses
