Name: Nick McHugh
Job Title: Public Relations Executive
Time at npower: 3.5 years
In my current role at npower I look after the PR around a variety of areas, including retail pricing, energy savings and services, environmental products, Health Through Warmth, propositions, micro-generation and last but by no-means least social products and propositions.
We have an innovative can do attitude, which starts with the people and filters through to everything we do. It's a professional, energetic culture (pardon the pun!) and a lot of fun. As a business we're always asking ourselves how we can improve, and everyone gets the chance to have an input. But I think it's our people who are our real strength - you'll never come across a more dedicated and passionate group of professionals.
Whatever your role, as a member of the npower team your career's always going to move forward. Training and career progression are both taken incredibly seriously - I've known people who started as Product Executives and have moved into senior positions in the marketing team.

Job Title: Deputy Head of Retail Procurement
Time at npower: 2 years 2 months
I joined npower as a Transactional Buying Manager, and have seen my role evolve and change, becoming a Retail Operations Procurement Manager before moving into my current role. I'd say the highlight of my career so far has been putting in place 'better buying' workshops and heightening the awareness of procurement around the business. It's also really rewarding to see the improvement in the way procurement now works because of changes I've helped make.
npower's a great company to work for because they really do look after their people. We have exceptional benefits - the whole package is brilliant! And everyone you work with is really friendly and approachable.

Job Title: HR Adviser - Corporate
Time at npower: 5 months
I've not been at npower for very long, but I'm already loving what I've seen so far. In my current role I provide HR support and advice for Managers and employees within Corporate, and I've already been on some really interesting external courses and got to know lots of other areas within the business. Personal development is taken really seriously here.
Although I love the fast pace, the variety of challenges and the great benefits we get, my favourite part of my job has to be the friendly, diverse people I work with. Everyone's working towards a common goal, and everyone's contribution is really valued.
