Generation & Renewables
Our Generation & Renewables business owns and operates one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of power generating plants in the UK, including large gas, coal and oil-fired power stations, cogeneration plants and renewable facilities. Our power station portfolio has a combined generation capacity of around 10,800MW.
We also have a number of major new projects underway. These include:
- A new, 1,650MB high efficiency gas-fired power station in Staythorpe in Nottinghamshire.
- The Little Cheyne Wind Farm in Kent, which will be the most powerful onshore wind farm in the south of England.
- A second major offshore wind farm at Rhyl Flats in North Wales.
Our Technology Services division delivers proven strategic and operational services to address the technical, commercial and environmental issues faced by our power generation business and by our customers. Our external services are marketed under the RWE Power International brand.
