Critical Behaviours

In 2010, RWE npower introduced a new operating model with the recognition that significant change was needed to enable us to become a high performing organisation and support our ‘one company’ approach. We are aware that structural changes alone will not enable us to deliver this.

If we want to be a high performing organisation, we need to have the right structure and processes in place, and ensure our people not only focus on ’what’ they do but ‘how’ they do it. We need to behave in ways that support us to be effective and competitive and that also make the experience of working together one that people want to be a part of.

Since mid-May 2010 we have worked with the Executive Board and the Leadership Team to develop the Critical Behaviours which are highlighted below. It’s important to remember that these behaviours are not new; however, our focus towards achieving a consistent use of them is.

To achieve our aim we need to take our people on a journey. That journey will go through building awareness, understanding, involvement and finally embedding the Critical Behaviours so that they are an integral part of the way we do things here at RWE npower.
