Accountabilities
To take responsibility for the production of Business Proposals and Invitations to Tender (ITT) and the submission to Public Sector, Local Authority and Commercial Sector clients
Work with the product, marketing and propositions teams to understand the features and benefits of the Energy Services market offerings ensuring that these are conveyed effectively in proposal documentation.
Assimilate and edit information and focussed proposal material and other business development documentation to tight deadlines.
Design, coordinate and write proposal material for allocated projects/sections ensuring conformance to customer specification and the Company’s commercial policy.
Work with the Bid Planning Manager and the sales team to challenge scope and to seek innovative solutions to customer requirements.
Identify key issues and expectations and ensure that they are included in the proposal submission.
Work alongside the estimating team and engineering designers to take technical and commercial information from these areas and integrate into the customer proposal.
Prepare, review and edit proposal material submitted to ensure consistency with company procedures.
Research material for inclusion into the proposal ensuring operationally viable, creative solutions that reflect best practice are submitted.
Liaise with customers and stakeholders, sharing information and ensuring all requirements are met relating to the proposal.
Research information to identify trends, best practice, future requirements and potential new business opportunities so that the division can react positively and capitalise on market developments and opportunities.
Assist in the filing and maintenance of proposal information in line with company policies and procedures so that all information is readily available and accessible.
Create and maintain manual and computer records and files for the department so records are up to date and information can be accessed.
To seek and where appropriate implement opportunities to improve the proposal and PQQ process.
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent administrative an organisational skills are a must.
Articulate in writing complex technical proposals.
The ability to use a variety of software packages in order to present information is essential.
Experience within the Building Services, FM or M&E industries with the associated understanding of customer requirements and business drivers.
Knowledge of company divisions, their organisation and modus operandi.
Financial experience – ability to plan and evaluate service delivery indicators i.e. cost to serve.
Operating and leading in a virtual team environment.
Be equip with the knowledge and skills to drive continuous improvement.
Health and Safety qualification – IOSH preferred
No Direct Reports – effective working of virtual cross functional team to deliver products and propositions.
