Accountabilities

Develop and deliver priority project and new opportunities in accordance with the specification, priorities and timescales defined by the commercial and commercial development management.

To undertake the commercial evaluation for such opportunities and prioritise ensuring compliance and commercial fit with strategic direction, business plan prioritise and mandatory obligations.

Lead the evaluation process applying project management principles and managing virtual teams.

Creation of clear business cases with clearly defined benefits which support strategy delivery with agreed ownership

Evaluate benefits and performance and make recommendations as appropriate.

Ensure new opportunities are integrated effectively into the business including the appropriate support for sales and service and ongoing MI to track to performance

Ensure that projects and prioritise are fully forecast, communicated and signed off including the implications of all financial commercial impacts

Ensure appropriately qualified resources are available for the delivery of services in a professional and timely manner and in line with our service standards and business plan

Plan and evaluate service delivery indicators, i.e. cost to serve, etc to identify potential shortfall and enhancement opportunities and implement appropriate action

Devise, review and approve annual operational and capital expenditure plans where appropriate within delegated authority controls

Take action to prevent costs exceeding budgets

Understand and comply with Health and Safety within the product development function and ensure that all policies, procedures and long term corporate goals are adhered to

Knowledge & Skills

Must have previous experience in a sales, service, operational or development environment with a track record of delivering business change and influencing decision making by senior management

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Able to network and drive performance through others without direct line management responsibility

Ability to work to demanding targets and deadlines in a high-pressurised environment

Ability to manage change and operate effectively in a fast moving and dynamic environment

Thorough understanding of end-to-end internal business processes

Health and Safety qualification desirable– IOSH preferred

Ability to identify customer requirements & provide solutions, which protect profitability

Good presentation and communication skills

Excellent literacy, numeric and analytical skills

Advanced motorist qualification preferred

The preferred location for this role is Worcester or Leeds.

Salary: £34,000
