Job Description

Pembroke Power Station comprises five generating units, each of 420MW, with the ability to generate power for around three and a half million homes. The station is in its hot commissioning stage and will soon enter commercial operation. Of course our most valuable asset is the energy behind all of these facilities and equipment – our people.

Flexible and forward thinking, with excellent IT, communications and diagnostic skills and a good awareness of health and safety. Working within a multi-disciplined team, you will take responsibility for the continued reliability and availability of the UK’s largest and most efficient CCGT power station by carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance. You must live, or be prepared to relocate to within 60 minutes/40 miles drive of the power station. You will be permanently based at Pembroke power station with opportunities to support other stations as a part of your development.

Flexible, self-motivated, health and safety aware, you will have relevant experience in support of heavy industrial maintenance / construction and be happy to work either alone or in support of others in a challenging production environment. You will be able to demonstrate competence in supporting maintenance / construction activities in at least one of the disciplines above, plus be competent in the operation of typical site vehicles (e.g. forklifts & tele-handlers).

Applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate required levels of competence across more than one of the disciplines currently being recruited would be highly attractive. Applications from development candidates possessing most but not all of the competencies described above will also be considered

In addition to a rewarding career at the heart of UK energy production, based in a stunning coastal national park location, you will enjoy a competitive package as detailed below:

25 days paid holiday per annum (plus bank holidays), corporate pension scheme, private healthcare scheme, options for share purchase and other benefits befitting one of the UK’s largest utility companies.

Salary: £25,100 per annum
