Making sure that every single one of our customers gets the service they deserve is a big challenge. While our Contact Centres are in the front-line of this work, there's also a huge amount going on behind the scenes to make sure we're able to meet our customers' requests. That's where our Customer Services teams come in. With a range of different specialities, they make sure we can provide a comprehensive administrative service for all our customers’ needs - from creating new accounts to producing bills.Our dedicated customer support teams based in the North East of England and the Midlands (Stoke and Oldbury) deal with over 6 million residential customers. Our teams’ expertise covers customer services, cash operations, billing and collections, new accounts and meter enquiries. If you’re an enthusiastic and motivated individual, you could join 1 of our teams in Oldbury. Drawing on your strong customer service ethic, you will deal with a variety of problems ranging from investigating customer disputes, compliants from selling activity, disputed reads arising from a change of supply to validating applications.In some instances you maybe required to handle and make customer calls, in respect of missing information from the contract in order for it to be processed. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a forward thinking, positive and changing environment, with full training provided.

You’ll have good analysis, problem solving and influencing skills, coupled with a strong customer focus. Previous customer service experience and administration would be useful.

You will ensure delivery of timely and accurately billed Prepayment statements through a series of validation checks. These checks will include the understanding, interpretation and possible correction of meter readings, customer payments, meter details, tariffs, industry data flows and our customers expectations.

To achieve this liaising directly with customers and other suppliers is also an essential requirement. The majority of the work is data entry (80%) outbound calling / validating information (20%).

You will be working 37 hours per week over 5 days, with shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday.

Unsociable allowance of £1,225 per annum is payable for full and part time hours (pro-rata for part time hours*) if you are contracted to work until 8pm.

All positions are on a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.
