Domestic Cash & Debt Accountant

Purpose of the role

Provide senior stakeholders within Finance Customer Services Controlling and the Domestic Performance Unit teams with support and challenge in understanding and delivering Domestic Cash & Debt related KPI targets.

Ensure appropriate and robust controls of cash and debt financial information and associated KPIs.

Responsibilities of the role

Provide overall financial control in respect of Cash & Debt within Customer Services, ensuring compliance with appropriate npower, RWE and regulatory directives and policies. Including appropriate control reporting and financial evaluation documents as appropriate. This will include the completion of routine financial control processes such as month end and forecast and business plan updates.

Key Skills

Qualified Accountant or equivalent by relevant experience, preferably within a utility / energy market business.

Previous experience in a Cash & Debt or similar role (e.g. Treasury), with evidence of providing high quality KPI reporting.

Proven leadership skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders within financial and commercial roles to consider key financial requirements of the business.

Strong analytical skills with an ability to deal with complex transactions commercial issues.

Strong process orientation, with an ability to design and deliver robust reporting frameworks.
