This, high profile role represents an unparalleled opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact. Accountable for leading and developing a major in and outbound telesales operation, you’ll bring strategic vision, focus and innovative thought to the complex challenges of increasing revenues and driving future growth in a competitive market.

Selling energy products and related services to householders, it will be your responsibility to optimise this large team’s mixture of internal and outsourced staff. Driving their performance, you’ll ensure sales are maximised to achieve a range of targets, whilst also making sure every team member develops the skills necessary to deliver work to the highest quality, regulatory and ethical standards.

Challenging the way things are done, and championing not only continuous improvement, but also step change activity you’ll improve on or design new process and systems to ensure quality and protect the reputation of our brand. As the companies most senior telesales manager you will lead the company wide responsibility for all telesales activity You’ll develop collaborative relationships with senior figures in a range of other departments, to drive new initiatives – from Data Management to Compliance to influence the direction of our business.

You’ll promote a coherent and motivated telesales culture. You’ll manage costs and negotiate the balance between data, propositions and staff skills for maximum effect. You’ll enjoy an influence over marketing, proposition, data and sales plans. Ultimately, you’ll achieve the challenge of ensuring we fulfil our promises to customers, shareholders and regulators alike.

A driven, enthusiastic and motivational leader, you have proven experience of managing a large and diverse outbound contact centre telesales operation. You’ve managed complex budgets and integrated marketing campaigns involving BPO teams. A commercial and strategic thinker, you understand process improvement and thrive when managing change.

You may not have experience of the energy market, but you’ve certainly focussed on customers in the domestic sphere, and you demonstrate an understanding of legislation related to UK energy sales. Naturally, you’re highly ethical and familiar with OFCOM and associated compliance. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of CRM systems.
