Job Description

Salary: £34,700

Accountabilities

Understand the market, direct and indirect customer requirements for the ECO & Green Deal projects and market.

Responsibility for taking the lead in proposition development and marketing plans within these segments to meet the needs of the customer and Green Deal ECO targets.

Responsible for the presentation of the marketing plan to key customers as part of the bid team.

Build market differentiators through expert knowledge of marketing tools & techniques.

To provide strategic campaign planning and delivery in conjunction with customer markets and other third party providers with clearly defined KPI’s.

Working in collaboration with the obligations team to define and develop customer target segments and sector information for all channels.

Create a thought leadership platform to provide engagement and networking opportunities with key customers and markets.

Responsible for the implementation of the required customer engagement and data strategy - through appropriate market positioning, creation of new and novel channels to market and optimising communication activity to achieve best cost outcomes.

Implement the npower brand and customer journey standards within the marketing plan to direct and inform bid activity to improve customer satisfaction.

Lead the development & delivery of compelling demand creation and lead generation to maximise market penetration of products and services.

Utilise customer research to enhance knowledge of customer/prospect perceptions & buying behaviours and lead customer focus in the obligations business.

Lead the development of compelling customer propositions to maximise market penetration of products & services.

Creatively exploit the npower brand, sales channels and communications channels to deliver cost effective lead generation .

Develop stakeholder communications to build internal awareness of activity, plans and success.

Develop & maintain strong relationships with Customer Markets, Residential and Brand Marketing, Corporate Communications, Product, Sales, Sales Delivery, Operations to achieve joint business objectives.

Knowledge & Skills

Sales/Marketing/Commercial Business professional – suitably qualified.

Previous experience of multi sector marketing at a senior management level essential.

Excellent knowledge of the energy efficiency markets including regulation and obligation commitments.

Excellent knowledge of energy efficiency technology, installation and repair services required.

Able to interpret customer and market issues, prepare strategies to maximise opportunities.

Ability to understand and interpret customer research & market data to inform decision-making and go to market plans.

Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to deliver creative strategies.

Organisationally aware, strong team ethic, committed to change with the ability to understand the influence change actions have on others.

Ability to manage change and operate effectively in a fast moving and dynamic environment.

Ability to identify customer requirements & provide solutions, which protect profitability.

Highly professional – ability to share knowledge and expertise with others, analyse and resolve problems.

Thorough understanding of end-to-end internal business processes.

Able to deliver campaigns, brand and proposition plans to time, quality & performance standards.

Ability to manage operational spend within budget.

An ability to lead and coach, develop staff with performance management experience.
