Accountable for ensuring procurement best practice is adopted, you’ll be a first point of contact within our business for advice and expertise. An integral part of our Indirect Buying team, you’ll enjoy a positive impact on our performance, by challenging the way things are done and ensuring a strong focus on procuring business services. This will targeting cost and service improvements, you’ll ensure optimisation of expenditure. Ultimately, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring we fulfil promises to customers, shareholders and regulators alike.
Your broad remit will encompass target cost and service improvements across the business. With responsibilities covering specific product areas, you’ll analyse both the business product portfolio, and you’ll recommend changes to deliver best value. Responding to a variety of complex enquiries, you’ll work collaboratively and respectfully with Procurement colleagues and key business stakeholders to secure commercial advantage and enhance existing arrangements and mechanisms.
A driven, dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a flexible and adaptable approach, you have relevant experience within a challenging, competitive commercial environment. Strong numeric and analytical skills, and a proven ability to work on your own initiative to tight timescales, are essential qualities. IT literate, you are proficient across the Microsoft Office suite and have demonstrable knowledge of SAP KP1. A team player, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flair for negotiating and influencing.
