Job Description
RWE npower is one of the UK’s leading integrated energy companies. A core part of RWE Group, which is among Europe’s foremost utilities, we do more than sell gas and electricity to home and corporate customers. Across diverse businesses, we manage a flexible portfolio of coal, oil and gas-fired power stations and cogeneration plant, and we have a proud track record of pioneering the development and use of renewable energy sources. Of course, the real energy behind our businesses is our people.
You’ll help to power the ongoing evolution of our Telesales operation by delivering timely, effective and accurate MI, reporting and analysis. Delivering robust and regular operational MI, reports and dashboards to agreed service level targets, you’ll be instrumental in maximising sales and sales opportunities. From complex modelling and trend analysis to intuitive performance reporting and insight, you’ll challenge the way things are done and inform decisions that drive better performance. Ultimately, you’ll help us ensure we deliver our promises to all stakeholders.
Evaluating channel performance against a range of diverse metrics, you’ll proactively make recommendations to the Business Intelligence Manager to enhance sales performance and productivity. Monitoring business and individual sales and quality performance against a set of KPIs, you’ll advocate changes to the KPI mix where appropriate, based on proven evidence.
You’ll provide reporting input to the business planning process, sales strategy and campaign management, basing your suggestions on historical performance MI and trends. Naturally, we’ll expect you to action any reporting activity that arises. Continually developing reporting models, you’ll build strong cross-functional relationships and work in a collaborative, influential and respectful way with a range of teams - from Finance, and Pricing & Controls, to Sales Strategy and Marketing.
With proven MI and reporting experience in a contact centre environment, you have an understanding of sales and operational processes, and the management of integrated marketing campaigns. A talented analyst, you have a demonstrable flair for interpreting complex and diverse information, and driving accurate conclusions and recommendations that improve performance. You’ll need advanced knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic, Cognos and report authoring, together with a high degree of modelling skills in Microsoft and the ability to manipulate large sets of data. Excellent communication skills - both in writing and in person - are also essential.
