An opportunity exists for a Senior Training Officer to manage training projects for system/process or soft skill/development requests, schedule internal resources including up-skilling of trainer/developers and make decisions to prioritise projects and project activities based on business priorities and consideration of other initiatives.  You will also be required to conduct reviews within the business to identify areas for development; ensuring measures are gathered for effective evaluation of any training solutions.



On a day to day basis you will be required to manage the performance of the trainers including productivity, quality, training delivery and provide adhoc management support to team managers using developed knowledge and expertise as appropriate.  This would include following company HR policies and procedures at all times.



A large part of the role will involve process improvement by managing training projects across customer service (business) and continually reviewing procedures for any process improvement opportunities and directly support the design and implementation accordingly (liaising with the appropriate parties).  You will be required to attend relevant project meetings to highlight and or discuss challenges and successes across the business and to work with departments to implement new processes/initiatives ensuring consistency across the business unit.



You will need to ensure that the team working consistently, promoting a knowledge sharing and learning orientated culture and by working closely and developing relationships with training teams across npower to understand alternative approaches and develop joint solutions where possible.  The post holder will also need to design and deliver key training projects to support overall delivery of retail strategy and produce relevant training materials in line with standard design templates.  You will need to ensure complete understanding of project deliverables and increase own knowledge in systems and process knowledge by spending time with business area, system developers and project teams.
