A digital future for npower – and graduates

At npower, we know our future is digital. With our aim to become the most digitised energy company, we need the best people to help lead the way. That’s where our Digital Business Leadership Graduate Programme comes in. Designed to produce digital and data leaders of the future, the two-year scheme is a brilliant opportunity for bright, energetic graduates to apply their talent to a range of areas throughout the business. You’ll gain a huge amount of experience throughout the duration of the scheme, which will see you working alongside a team of friendly, supportive professionals who are experts in their field.

Here’s why you should apply to the Digital graduate scheme:

It’s an integral part of the business

Digital is not just a major factor for npower as a business, but it’s a dominant element of business the world over. With 1.64 million digital tech jobs in the UK alone, there are significant opportunities for digital professionals to make waves in an industry that has grown 22% in the past five years. At npower specifically, we’re focused on how we manage and maximise data, engaging customers in digital channels to unlock new routes to market. As npower provides more and more digital-based services to customers over the coming years, the entire business will need to get on board with the digital world.

So much of our business growth, development and success in the coming years will come down to our digital strategy and operation and we know we need the right people to drive this forward.

You’ll get a wide view of how we operate

While the scheme ultimately focuses on the digital element of npower and the energy industry, it also gives you a broad overview of an experience in multiple areas of the business. You’ll experience different placements throughout the programme, gaining an overarching insight into how npower works and what makes it different. Through a variety of roles over the course of 24 months, you’ll hone skills in project management, business analysis, digital customer experience and journey optimisation, strategy, transformation, future technology, data science and behavioural analytics – and that’s just the beginning.

You’ll have opportunities to progress

Our graduate programmes are designed to launch your career within npower, providing you with the skills, experience and tools to move throughout the company and take on new roles and responsibilities. The Digital team is diverse and has a wide scope, responsible for everything from the website and mobile app through to driving more customers online and supporting those who want to engage with npower digitally.

It’s one of the fastest-growing teams in the company and supports innovation and creativity in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work with other departments such as Commercial, Marketing and Customer Services, getting an overview of the wider business and how we operate to best serve our customers. The skills you learn in the Digital scheme are directly transferrable to future roles within the business.

You’ll have fun

While the scheme is designed to pack in a significant amount of learning and development across the two-year duration, it also features plenty of fun. Graduates enjoy development days and meet-ups, and the Digital team has a friendly environment where tea and coffee breaks are cherished alongside collaborative working and creativity.

Apply now

Applications are now open for the Digital Graduate Programme, so if you have a minimum of a 2:2 degree, are happy to be based in Solihull, Durham or Leeds and want to join a rapidly developing part of one of the biggest energy companies in the UK, apply now.
